Teach the little ones about dinosaurs at the ideal grill-out spot, Jurassic Playground.

Hinting by the name, Jurassic Playground is a dinosaur-themed playground that was renovated in 1999 for kids of different ages to get play and maybe even learn a thing or two. There are multiple dinosaur statues scattered throughout the playground that make the perfect picture opportunity, as well as different dinosaur-shaped equipment to get to point out the apatosaurus, triceratops, and stegosaurus while the kids play on it.

There’s a smaller toddler area and slide, as well as a big kid area for all ages to enjoy. The playground is partly fenced in, with both baby and big kid swings enclosed. Most of the playground has padding to protect young ones from scratches.

The playground itself doesn’t seem to get too crowded in colder months but attracts more life in the summer as there are sprinklers to cool off in the warmer months. Not only this but the playground is surrounded by lots of green grass, with plenty of space to layout and grill while enjoying the incredible view of Meadow Lake (which also attracts a lot more mosquitos in the summertime - bring bug spray). When it gets warm, the lake is full of turtles and ducks you can feed bread to or escape under the shade instead.

There’s plenty of benches as well as a few surrounding picnic tables to sit down and relax at whether to eat after grilling, read a book or just to enjoy the view.

The playground is conveniently located just close by to Triassic Playground, with parking nearby. The playground can be accessed through the overhead pass, and there’s normally not too much heavy automotive traffic near the surrounding roads.
