Learning and fun for all ages with a picturesque view await at Triassic Playground.

Just like the Jurassic Playground, Triassic Playground is the second part of the Dinoland exhibit with another dinosaur-themed playground for kids of all ages to play and learn about the creatures of the Triassic period. Since it was renovated in 2000, the park now features dinosaur footprints they can follow; Plateosaurus shapes lead the way to the few basketball courts, and dimetrodon, kannemeyeria, herrasaurus and proganochelys/turtle animal art are pictured.  Kids can learn about the Triassic period and geological time. There are additional facts from the information board next to the comfort station to learn even more.

The playground includes multiple different swings for babies and big kids, as well as play equipment that is padded with safety surfacing to prevent all little ones from possible scrapes and bumps if you have wanderers. There’s a drinking fountain for if you get thirsty, but the large open greenery by Meadow Lake makes it the perfect place to grill out and bring a cooler to relax by the water instead since the turtles and ducks often attract kids to feed them bread. In the warmer months, there are spray showers in the shape of palm trees that make it easy to cool off if you're dressed for it.

The playground has plenty of benches to sit at as well as a few picnic tables to sit and eat at, and even some space to hide away in the shade under the trees.

The playground itself is located off of a nice path far enough away from the road, which normally doesn’t have heavy automotive traffic, with partial fencing around the swings. Given the absence of traffic, there is nearby parking for both parks. The park typically isn’t overly crowded in colder months but can gain more popularity in the summertime.
