With a beach on one side and greenery on the other, Lake Owasso County Park has some true natural beauty!

Part of The Ramsey County Park System, Lake Owassa County Park is beautifully well kept and clean. There are two sides to this park which are split up by the main road dividing the two. One side had a swimming beach, boat launch, large parking lot, and open playfield. The other side is a newer addition and has a family-friendly playground and pavilion.

With a playground with some natural touches, this is an ideal place to enjoy a morning or afternoon! The small size of the playground creates a more private feel and tends to be less crowded. It's a small park but has some ideal equipment for families. One of my favorite features of the equipment is the adult-baby co-swing. I do not come across these swings too often,n but they encourage play and bonding with your little ones. This park is unique in the sense that the landscape is used to its full potential with the playground equipment built right into the land. There are log stairs built into the hil, leadingd up to a slide also built into the hill.  There is also a natural dam that flows into a section of the park. This is an excellent touch to the park and an ideal way to cool off on hot summer days! While the walking path is very small, it would be perfect for children to ride bikes around and still be within an earshot's distance away. It's just a small loop around the park so parents could stay at the Pavillion/playground while children go around the walking path loop. A perfect setup for a parent meet-up!

We took advantage of the pavilion for a birthday party, and it was the perfect spot to have a gathering. With eight picnic tables, a grill, water jug filler, a counter with electric outlets, and an indoor clean bathroom, all of the basic amenities are covered. A quick walk over to the beach was another perfect way to dip our feet in and cool off on a hot day.

I would highly encourage people to stop by this park to have a space to get the little one's wiggles out. It's a unique, one-of-a-kind playground to visit with opportunities for all ages!
