After an afternoon spent in the park, we realized it’s no wonder why the parking lot is full every weekend!

This park has something to offer for the whole family. With two large parking lots it is very accessible for families. The paved walking trail which starts at the parking lot is the perfect loop just under one mile. It runs along a creek creating a peaceful stroll away from the hustle and bustle of the busy park activities. This is a perfect path for strollers, and dogs.  If you would like to extend your walk further you could continue on the path to the marvelous trail system that the city of Coon Rapids has to offer. We enjoyed wandering around the playground with our six-month-old and enjoyed the fact that the playground is adaptable to many age ranges. It is the city of Coon Rapids' largest play structure which was recently rebuilt. With the recent rebuild this playground is a must-visit for families who are in the northern suburbs for hours of fun! From little slides to giant slides this playground has plenty of entertainment for the whole crew.  It's woodland theme is just perfect for little explorers.  Steps away from the playground is a basketball court, sand volleyball court, and a baseball field. With four picnic shelters, there is plenty of room to enjoy large group activities. There are multiple outhouses and an indoor rest area that is seasonal.

Enjoy some Italian eats down the street at Barzinin’s after a fun afternoon at the park and than stroll over to Cullen's ice cream for a treat!
