Boise's Molenaar Playground is fun for the whole family.
Molenaar Playground and the adjacent park are located off Maple Grove Road in Boise. This brand new playground is one of the most unique, largest playgrounds in the Boise Park and Recreation system. It is designed for all ages. Because it is also designed for children with mobility restrictions, it accommodates everyone. In addition, Molenaar Playground gives children the ability to interact with other children as they play.
Many parking spots are up close to the park when you pull in, so you don't have to walk far to get to the playground. The park has many excellent attractions, but the best is the two zip lines that stretch across the entire length of the playground. In addition, the unique bonded rubber fall material that was installed underneath the playground guarantees children of all ages will not get hurt if they fall or stumble.
A couple of our favorite amenities at this park are the Crab Trap, a climber with a wide variety of challenging elements that the kids can explore. The We-Go-Round is a fun spinning merry-go-round experience that you can sit or stand inside. The ZipKrooz is my children's favorite giving them a chance to feel like they are flying, and the We-Saw is also a favorite of ours. There are tons of activities and attractions for all ages, and even your furry friends can join since there is a huge grass area for them to run.
Since this is the newest and most popular park right now, we have been visiting the park in the early mornings during the week to avoid the crowds or after dinner for a quick way to burn energy before bedtime. We love to bring snacks and a blanket to picnic on the grass.
They are in the process of building a water feature attraction as well, and that should be finished by summertime 2022!
