Norm Fratis Park is a great spot to play and spend some time exploring nature and the seasons in the adjacent open space.
Norm Fratis park is located in West Roseville near West Park High School. The playground is a great size for young school-aged children as it does have a rock climbing wall, a bigger slide, and a concrete rock for climbing. The slide worked out perfectly for my little playdate crew, there were three of them, and the slide is split into three channels allowing them all to go down simultaneously! They couldn’t get enough of it and played there for most of the playdate. In addition, there are baby and big kid swings and, best of all - a restroom! There are a covered pavilion and power outlets, so I imagine this park would be great for a birthday party or other celebration.
There is a sand volleyball court so bring sand toys if you’d like. And there are two half-court basketball courts and a large grassy area, so a wide variety of sports could be practiced here. West Roseville tends to be a bit windy, so that that kite flying can be a perfect activity!
The open space bordering the park is an area set aside by the city of Roseville that will eventually contain a disc golf course and other walking trails. For now, it has a few trails made by people walking through the area and following those paths in a small loop makes for a great little nature walk!
