Rex Hill Winery and Tasting Room could be considered the entryway into Oregon's wine country in the Willamette Valley.

Whether you're getting away from the notorious Oregon rain or enjoying the sunshine on a warm summer day, Rex Hill Winery offers the best of both worlds at their 38-acre vineyard. Their indoor tasting room is a sophisticated space, with large windows, spacious tables, and a few little cozy nooks for parties of two. You can also sit outside on their patio, which boasts additional sipping spaces and has several heaters for those chilly days. There are also picnic tables out in the yard looking over a grassy field, making this spot a year-round place to visit.

Being a family-friendly winery, children are allowed indoors and outdoors. However, indoors may be more challenging for those who have difficulty sitting still or staying in their seats. There are no high chairs and no outside food allowed, and they only offer delicate glasses for water. 

Bathrooms were private, single stalls, with at least one offering a changing station. 

As far as wine goes, their main focus is Pinot noirs. They also offer Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, or my favorite, their Blanc de blanc sparkling wine. They offer wine flights, drinks by the glass, and full bottles. A small snack menu is offered daily with local bites and chef specials over the weekends. 

Seatings are by appointment only, and as of right now, they can only accommodate parties of 6 or less. They offer two larger tables outside, weather permitting, but they are not available through their online reservation system, so they ask that you call them directly to inquire. 

On weekends they also offer (by reservation only) a five-course lunch featuring local ingredients that have been carefully selected and paired with Rex Hill wines.

Dogs are allowed on the patio and in the garden, but only certified service dogs are allowed in their tasting room.
