Rock Ledge Ranch Living History Museum is the perfect blend of outdoor adventure and history brought to life.

Rock Ledge Ranch brings to life the inhabitants of the front range from the Ute in 1775 through the 1907 Orchard House. Tour the grounds on foot and walk through recreated homesteads to experience how different groups utilized this land. During the summer costumed docents give tours through the homes and offer activities throughout the property.

A full visit here takes about 2.5 hours and is perfect for kids of all ages. There are farm animals to see, a working blacksmith shop, and games and activities for kids. Don't miss the Orchard House tour, the docents do an amazing job keeping kids of all ages engaged on the tour.

If you are visiting when there is not an event going on you can see the outsides of the homesteads and venture out on any of the trails that connect to the Garden of the Gods. The farm animals are around year-round. The pond and small creek are excellent areas for kids to play in the less crowded months.

You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. There are picnic tables available on the South end of the Orchard House, and various locations near the pond. There are trash cans all around the property so you can help keep it clean.

The historical village is stroller friendly, but many of the trails are not.

Parking is free in the Garden of the Gods overflow lot.

Rock Ledge Ranch hosts so many great events throughout the year, so check those out as they offer unique ways to experience the property.
