Rocket Ice Cream is located beneath a 50-foot Rocket ship, making it nearly impossible to miss.

Rocket Ice Cream offers is 16 different flavors of locally made ice cream. The flavors change daily so it is always exciting to see what they have. The specialty is ice cream served in their house-made waffle cones, though they also offer scoops in cups and regular cones. You can also spice up your order with an ice cream sundae, malt, spit, or ice cream shake. Rocket Ice cream has gluten-free and vegan options.

Much like their sister shop, The Lowery Beer Garden, Rocket Ice Cream often hosts local events. Check their webpage for details on upcoming events.

Rocket Ice Cream is open 2 pm -8 pm Monday through Thursday when the weather is good. It makes the perfect after-school treat on Denver's randomly warm winter days. They are reliably open Friday from 2 pm-9 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11 are-9 pm. Mark this place down when you're looking to just grab dessert.

Oreo is probably my favorite ice cream flavor pretty much anywhere and Rocket Ice Cream's Salted Oreo is exceptional. The Vegan Chocolate Salted is another favorite. We always find Vanilla, Strawberry, and Chocolate on the menu.

Here are their current prices (Spring 2022)

Single Scoop: $3.65  (Very generous and more than enough ice cream for us!)
Double Scoop: $4.65
Tripple Scoop: $5.65
*Add $1 for a house-made waffle cone (Do this for yourself. It's so yummy!)
Sunday $6.50
Shakes & Malts $6.50
Banana Splits $7.00
To-Go Pints $6.50

Aside: Maybe everyone but me knows this but the difference between a malt and a milkshake is the addition of malted milk powder.  The powder makes it sweeter and thicker.
