Get into the holiday spirit and enjoy ice skating, a village light show and a train ride at Roseville Bayside Ice Rink!
The Bayside Ice Rink and Light Show is a holiday spectacle with lots of holiday decorations and activities. The Bayside campus has plenty of room to spread out with their attractions, unlike other skate rinks in the area that are located in city centers. The ice rink is a bit larger at Bayside as well. The rink was a tiny bit more slippery than other rinks in the area, but with a bit of practice easy to overcome. Skate assisters are available on a first come first serve basis and they have two different types available. Skates are included in the admission price and the skates were much easier to get tight with the snap closures than the laced versions we have used elsewhere.
The Bayside Light show is an evening event featuring a little village all decorated and lit up with Christmas lights. You can stroll through the central corridor and play in the “snow” that falls from above. The little train ride was a nice additional activity that we didn’t know about. My four year old absolutely loved it! Bayside also has a drive through light experience at its other campus in Rocklin that I highly recommend.
Reservations are required for skating and as there is a limited capacity for each session, I recommend reserving your tickets early.
From what we could see on our visit, there were quite a few adults that were not skating but were allowed in the skating rink area, so this is a great option if you don’t plan on skating but would like to stay close to the rink. But I definitely encourage you to get out and skate with your kids! I bet it’ll be something they’ll never forget! And you may even have FUN!
The Bayside Ice Rink and Light Show is put on by Bayside Church in Roseville, but is not a religious event and anyone is welcome to attend.
The Bayside Ice Rink and Light Show are open through January 3rd, 2022.
