Seal Point Park is a shoreline park with a panoramic view of San Francisco Bay.

Seal Point Park is a wonderful blend of recreational activities, history, wildlife, and art. Within the park, there is a 1-mile loop trail perfect for hiking, biking, running, etc. There is a slight incline and a long staircase (that is avoidable if needed), which is a great place to add a little extra cardio into your day. Dynamic sculptures can be found throughout the park, making the walk even more enjoyable. Though the walking loop is a big draw for Seal Point Park, there is so much more the area has to offer.

The Bay Trail wraps around the outer part of Seal Point (along the bay) which connects the park to the rest of the San Mateo Shoreline and its neighboring cities. Along the bayside of the park, there is a windsurfing and kayaking access point. Bring a chair/ blanket and watch wind sports from the point or feel free to participate! There is also a grassy area in the park, which is a great place to stop and have a picnic. Since it is located on the Bay, Seal Point Park has a scenic, panoramic view, making it the perfect plane watching and sunset spot.

Occasionally there are outdoor classrooms led by rangers, which can be an interesting learning experience. In addition, Seal Point is a great place to bird-watch or observe wildlife. There is a boardwalk next to the Bay Marshes where the endangered California Clapper Rail lives, along with other shorebirds. So make sure to bring binoculars if bird watching piques your interest.

Free parking is abundant for both cars and bikes. Public restrooms are also available at the entrance of the park.
