Savor beautiful views and brews at Talcott Mountain Collective!

This is the place to be on a warm summer evening. Newly opened at the end of 2021, the Talcott Mountain Collective is one of the most pleasant beer garden experiences around. It makes good use of its location at the base of Talcott Mountain with large picture windows and a spacious patio. Lounge on the patio with a brew and watch the little ones make use of its expansive lawn, or get in on a game of corn hole. The Talcott Mountain Collective bills itself as a “local-experience venue”, and does indeed try to source their fare locally, from their libations to their music and food. When they don’t have a food truck on-site, they do serve a limited pub menu of brats, cheese pizza, popcorn and pretzels. Check their website or Facebook page to see which food truck will be on hand, and who will be performing. 

While they have lawn games such as corn hole and Kan Jam available, bring a ball to toss around if bringing little ones - they won’t be able to resist that rolling green lawn. There is an adjacent disc golf course as well; bring your discs if that’s your thing.

This is a great place to unwind after a hike at Talcott Mountain or Penwood State Parks, both have many miles of trails to choose from. Check out Heublein Tower, which is a moderate short hike up the mountain. The Pickin’ Patch is just down the road - they’ve got great produce and flowers on offer. In the fall they have a pumpkin patch and cider donuts.
