TopWire Hop Project is a local outdoor taproom that serves beer made with hops grown on the surrounding farm.
Who wouldn't want to be surrounded by a lush field of hops and a view of Mount Hood while drinking craft beer outside? If you live in or are visiting Oregon, you like craft beer, or someone you know does. TopWire Hop Project is the perfect spot to gather with family and friends. The space is laid back but extremely clean and well maintained. The outdoor seating space has room for kids to roam on the grass amongst the tables. Just keep them out of the hop fields!
Since TopWire Hop Project was built in 2020, it is all very nice and new. The beer garden is constructed out of a large shipping container with sleek architecture and feels urban but without the noise of the city. It's really relaxing out at TopWire and and there is usually a food truck on weekends behind the bar near the gravel parking lot. If there isn't a food truck when you visit, you can bring your own picnic. TopWire also sells some snacks like chips and salsa and some cheese and charcuterie boards.
It is a unique beer garden experience on the beautiful land of Crosby Hop Farm, an independent, fifth-generation hop grower. TopWire is situated in the Willamette Valley, surrounded by fertile farmlands, an area most notable for its wineries. But, TopWire Hop Project and Crosby Hop Farm are a fresh change from all of that. Their tap list includes beers brewed by Crosby Hops customers, using hop varieties from the farm. They have all created delicious and fresh craft beer options to quench your thirst.
In addition to kids being welcome, so are leashed dogs. The restrooms are spacious and clean which is perfect for a stroller or gathering all your children to go into the potty with you. (I know once I go to the restroom, all my kids say they have to go too). They have changing tables too. A lot of farms out in the Willamette Valley have porta potties or no potable water so this is a very welcome change. There is also tons of free outdoor parking. Enter Lupulin Lane and drive down the gravel road about 0.5 miles through lush 18-feet high hop rows, and you'll arrive at TopWire Hop Project. You'll basically drive in a u-shape to get to TopWire from the road.
