Splash and play in style on the Columbia River at the Vancouver Waterfront Splashpad!

Right on the Columbia River, at one of the trendiest spots in Vancouver, the Vancouver Waterfront Splash Pad is a modern, urban splashpad for kids to play in the summer. The splashpad slopes down and collects a foot of water on one side. All around the splashpad are stones to sit and jump off of. Parents can dip their feet in the water while their kids burn off some energy. The splashpad is absolutely beautiful, created by a team of designers. On the west side of the splashpad is a sculptural water feature, The Headwaters Wall. It is an interactive water feature that boasts a map of the watershed of the Columbia River. The interactive historical facts about the Columbia River and its tributaries are all over the splashpad.

So much to do!

Just east of the splash pad is the incredible Grant Street Pier. It is a beautiful cable-stayed pier that resembles a ship and draws attention to the expanse of the Columbia River. This park is along the Columbia River Renaissance Trail, a five-mile paved trail following the shoreline that connects several parks, including the Vancouver Waterfront playground and grassy areas. There are many dining options next to the splash pad, including What A Catch Fish Bar’s walk-up window.

There is plenty of parking in a paid parking lot and paid street parking. It can get busy during the summer, but there is still plenty of room to splash and play!
