Three levels of walkways, slides, climbing, and a splash pad await you at Whitney Park.

The first time I visited Whitney Park with my kids I remember their shock followed by oohs and ahhhs at the sheer size of the play structure. They hopped out of the car and immediately sprinted to the playground. There was so much to do and see, they did a quick run around to see everything. The three-story-tall play structure has so many long bridges and pathways, it’s perfect for games that would feel cramped elsewhere. The play structure has circular monkey bars, a rock-climbing wall, 7 slides (yes, 7!), musical interactive features, tunnel tube phones and lots of balance challenges in the center of the circular layout.

Aside from the gigantic play structure, there is also a really awesome splash pad at Whitney Park! This park just couldn’t get any better. The splash pad has a bucket that periodically dumps its contents, two water squirting horses and plenty of water spouting from underground. There is plenty of shaded seating for grown-ups, but remember that kids love it when you join in the fun!

There is also a little kids' play area with its own play structure, a corral of bouncy horses and baby swings. The large play structure can be overwhelming for toddlers so it’s nice to have a space that is similar but a scaled-down version.

The park also has four baseball fields, lots of grassy fields and there is a paved path around the perimeter of the park. There are bathrooms available near the baseball fields, but it is a little bit of a walk to get there.
