William Land Park is the perfect spot for an action-filled day or a relaxing stroll.

William Land Park is located just south of downtown Sacramento and the Land Park neighborhood. The park is gigantic at over 200 acres and features an amazing array of activities. There are seven baseball/softball fields, three soccer fields, a basketball court, and a golf course. The park also includes some amazing attractions like the Sacramento Zoo, Fairytale Town, and Funderland. They are all located next to each other at the center of the park.

William Land Park has many lakes and ponds, some with fountains, ducks, and fish. Remember to look up some healthy foods for ducks before planning to feed the ducks! There are streets and pathways crisscrossing through the park creating a variety of routes for jogging and walking. The loop around the outside of the larger square-shaped area of the park measures 2.3 miles and will take you past a variety of restaurants and coffee shops along the way. The smaller rectangular section of the park to the north is about a 1-mile loop.

The playground at William Land Park has two play structures that are suited for toddlers through older school-aged children. There is also a splash pool, but it is temporarily closed. The park can be quite busy during sports seasons like baseball and soccer season, and parking is impacted by the Sacramento Zoo and Fairytale Town, and it can be hard to find a space at times, particularly on the weekends
