The Richmond area is bursting with playgrounds for all children, from tots to tweens. As we approach beautiful spring days, be sure to take advantage of these outstanding playgrounds right here in RVA!

PARK365 Playground

One of the most popular playgrounds in Richmond, this is one for all to enjoy. With its inclusive design and thoughtful details, everyone loves PARK365! Don’t miss the water trough, treehouse, and interactive sensory wall.

Jefferson Hill Park

E Marshall St, Richmond, VA 23223

Nestled atop Richmond’s historic Union Hill, Jefferson Hill Park has a train-themed playground for toddlers, a large slide, and swings. Be sure to walk around the park and take in the gorgeous views of downtown Richmond.

Twin Hickory Park

5011 Twin Hickory Road, Glen Allen, VA 23059

The layout of Henrico’s Twin Hickory Park makes it easy for caregivers to access the tot lot and playground for older children. My kids especially love the critter-themed features, like the dragonfly see-saw.

White Bank Park

400 White Bank Rd, Colonial Heights, VA 23834

An inclusive playground designed for all children to be able to play together, White Bank Park has adaptive swings with back support, and a soft, rubber surface. My kids love the “Memory Match” game in addition to a variety of other interactive activities.

Huguenot Park

With a fenced playground, a large sandbox with sand toys, and large bench swings, this park is a must-visit! Toddlers love the push toys to “drive” or “ride” around the paved loop surrounding the playground, while older children will love the various climbing challenges.

Powhatan Hill Park

Set atop the Fulton Hill neighborhood, take in the gorgeous views of Richmond’s skyline while playing on this one-of-a-kind playground. My children adore the “bumpy” slide, and the highlight is the seated zipline!

Children’s Museum of Richmond

With a variety of climbing opportunities, slides, and tunnels, CMoR’s new playground is one-of-a-kind. Kids love the musical instruments they can play by stepping on, and the separate toddler and big kid areas.

Pole Green Park

With its soft, rubber surface, Pole Green Park is safe, accessible, and fun. We love this playground for a playdate because there’s something every child will enjoy. Our kids love the bouncy ride-on car, swings, and tunnels.

Three Lakes Park

With a separate toddler playground and a playground for older children, Three Lakes has something for everyone. The animal features, like a raccoon to sit on, inspire imaginative play. Additionally, there are both baby and big kid swings, large slides, and musical instruments.

Pufferbelly Park

Just a walk away from Ashland’s train station, Pufferbelly Park has an array of spinners and climbing webs. My children especially love the tandem swing and musical instruments.
