Ice Skating in Seattle during the 2021 Holiday Season
Not all of the ice skating rinks are able to be open this year in Seattle, but don't fret! there are still a few that are available for you and your family to get your skate on! Check out our list of the best ones in and around Seattle!
Holiday Magic Ice Skating Rink
The Washington State Fair is hosting its annual Holiday Magic event and it's going to be a festive one! In addition to the main event with Santa's Village, light displays, a living nativity, Santa's Express train, Christmas market...(I could go on, but I think you get the point!) there will also be a fun ice skating rink that anyone 2 and up can enjoy! Tickets are sold as an add-on from the main Holiday Magic tickets and are very limited. So be sure to buy yours ahead of time to guarantee a spot.

Ice skating sessions are 45 minutes each and include skate rentals. The last session is at 9:00pm.
Price:
$8 online and $10 at the door - this does not include admission to the Holiday Magic Event. This is the add-on price and you will need to purchase tickets to the main event as well.
Please note: Everyone over the age of 12 will need to show either proof of Covid vaccination or a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours. Masks will also be required for everyone.
Bellevue Downtown Ice Rink
The Bellevue downtown ice rink is back for its 24th year running! Enjoy 9000 square feet of gliding and twirling fun with your entire family. In fact, it's actually the largest seasonal ice skating rink in the region!
In addition to the regular ice skating nights, they also have family fun nights such as the Ugly Sweater Skate or free ice cream topping night! On select nights they also offer free ice skating lessons for anyone that may be just a bit nervous to get out on the ice. Free lesson nights are as follows: Dec. 9, Dec. 14, Dec. 16, Jan. 4, Jan. 6
The Bellevue ice rink will be open through Jan. 9th, 2022. They will have a limited number of walk-up tickets available, however, due to circumstances surrounding Covid, it is recommended to purchase your ticket in advance.

Located at Isthmus Park, this pop-up ice rink in Olympia is a seriously good time for anyone that is hoping to get into the holiday spirit. Oly on Ice is hoping to make its third year even better than the last two with select theme nights, entertainment, and food vendors. In addition, this year they will also have a season pass you can purchase as well as sensory-friendly skates on Sunday mornings for anyone who needs less music and lights and more skating.

Kraken Community Iceplex in Seattle Is a Great Ice Rink to Practice Your Skating While Grabbing a Bite to Eat
If seasonal pop-up ice rinks don't quite cut it for you, you can always head to the Kraken Community Iceplex in Seattle and get your fill of ice skating regardless of the season or temperature outside!
Some people just prefer the smooth ice and professional features (like a Zamboni!) when it comes to their ice skating. And that's ok! You don't have to go to a pop-up ice rink in order to get into the holiday spirit. In fact, this holiday season, the Kraken Community Iceplex will be adding extra skate times for everyone who is out of work, out of school, and ready to play! Plus, they have decorated the Iceplex with lots of festive decor and will be playing holiday music while you skate!
The Kraken Community Iceplex has three NHL-sized ice rinks, a restaurant, and locker rooms to store your stuff make this stop a no-brainer when looking for a fun time out with the family this season.
The holidays are a popular time for the Iceplex, so it is recommended to book online and arrive 15-20 minutes early to beat the crowds.
