Abraham and Joseph Spector Playground is perfect for younger kids located right by the Great Lawn of Central Park.

Just a few minutes walk from the Great Lawn of Central Park, the Abraham and Joseph Spector Playground is the perfect place to stop for some playground fun while in the area. Gated in and with tons of open space, this playground is a great place for kids to run freely without parents having to worry. Sand surrounds and is spread under all parts of the jungle gyms, making it the perfect landing area for jumping and playing around. This super unique feature of this playground adds to the fun for kids, because they can essentially build a sandcastle anywhere they want to in the park so feel free to bring sand toys! 

This playground has two basic structures for kids to play on. There are also a couple of baby swings, along with slides, bridges, wood and metal climbers, poles, and decks on which kids can run. The Abraham and Joseph Spector Playground also has a water splash section. These water sprayers are an awesome way for kids to cool down in the hot summer sun after running around. Benches are scattered throughout for kids or parents to sit and relax at, too. Once kids are done with the playground, the paved pathways outside are amazing to bike or scooter on, or to bring chalk to and doodle on! Also, there is lots of green open space surrounding the playground, making it a nice place to spread out a blanket and enjoy a picnic.
