Central Park of Morris County offers spacious outdoor green space and an all-abilities playground!

The Central Park of Morris County has everything for families to enjoy a few hours outdoors. This park has many different areas that are close to each other, just a couple minutes walk from one place to the next. For kids, this is great because it will feel like they’re going to a whole new place.

A super cool feature to this park is the Play 60 All-Access Playground, sponsored by the New York Jets. It is gated in, so kids feel free and explore and parents don’t have to worry. The playground has monkey bars, slides, tunnels, climbing structures, and lots of areas to move around. It is also wheelchair accessible, so this is the perfect place for everyone to come and have fun! The playground has picnic tables in the sun and benches with shade covers. These are great for taking a break from playing and enjoying a snack.

The paved paths and sidewalks allow for walking with a stroller or scootering around. I would recommend bringing scooters for the open space and paved areas! I also recommend bringing a volleyball or other sports balls. There are two sand volleyball courts which are fun for practicing serves or playing pickup games. There is lots of green space and open grass area that seems well kept, so kids have tons of room to run around and get energy out. Public restrooms are pretty clean and available for public use near the sand volleyball courts. They also have changing tables for families with infants.
