City View Park is a large park with ample space to run around and play!

This city-run park is well maintained. There are two playgrounds, both with big-kid swings, baby swings, and therapeutic cradle swing seats. There are several different slides, climbing walls, and a cute little table underneath the playground for pretend play. Between the playgrounds, you can find a large grass multi-purpose field. Sometimes local recreational teams will use it for ultimate frisbee or pickup soccer games.

This would be a great place for an outdoor birthday party. It has two covered picnic shelters with charcoal grills. These are available for rent. There are also basketball and volleyball courts. The public restrooms have several stalls and a changing table, along with vending machines in case you need a drink or quick snack.

One of our favorite things this park has to offer is the shared-use path. This paved path winds around the park and through the trees, and it's great for walking, pushing strollers, and riding bikes. As soon as you enter the forested area, an option to take the “rough” path takes you to an unpaved path, and allows you to explore the woods more intimately.

While the multipurpose field is not shaded, there are many places to find shade by the playgrounds, by the other fields, and in the woods. Pack a lunch and have a picnic at one of the many picnic tables or benches, or bring a blanket and set up your own special place. We recommend bringing your favorite ball, your walking shoes, and your imagination!
