Colonial Oaks Park is nestled in the very nice neighborhood of Colonial Oaks, right off of Great Neck Road.

Whether you live in the neighborhood, in a nearby one, or are just out looking for a new place to play, Colonial Oaks Park is a great spot.

With sidewalks along the main road, it is a fairly easy bike ride for older kids to manage, if you live close. There are only three parking spots right up front and some street parking, since it is mostly only visited by the neighborhood families.

There is a ton of open green space to run around, explore, play ball, or frisbee. During the spring you can find fields of yellow buttercups for those who enjoy picking flowers! Surrounding the playground are beautiful, big trees and multiple places to sit. There is one covered picnic shelter, another uncovered table and several benches. Make sure to bring some snacks or a lunch and plan to spend some time here!

The play structure itself has a few different slides, talking tubes, and a bunch of different climbing structures. There is a bouncing teeter-totter, toddler swings, big kid swings, and a therapeutic cradle swing. You can play tic tac toe with the spinning board, test your balance on the toadstool steps, or scale the large arching monkey bars.

If you’d like to get food before or after playing, there are several options. You can get bagels from the Bagel Baker, enjoy brunch from Citrus, or grab a slice of pizza from Brothers or Ynot.
