Enjoy TWO new playgrounds and a basketball court at Crestwood Elementary School!

Crestwood Elementary's new playground (built-in 2021) is an incredible play space for children. My kiddos love the two separate playgrounds. The one closest to the parking lot is for older children. It has large loops to walk through, a seated merry-go-round, climbing challenges, a rock climber, and a large slide. The playgrounds have a fence, and this one has a gate to close this section off and keep your children safe. The base of both playgrounds is mulch.

Separating the two playgrounds is a large blacktop. There are four basketball hoops, so pack a basketball and shoot around! We also love to pack chalk and make fun designs with the blacktop as a canvas. My kids loved running relay races back and forth on the blacktop, too! There is a large hill beside both playgrounds that my children loved running up and down and playing tag on.

The second playground is geared toward younger children. There is a see-saw that can fit three small children on each side and a small rope climbing ladder. In addition, there is a playset with a smaller slide. Both playgrounds have gears to spin, making noise, which is always a hit with young children.

After playing, there are several nearby adventure add-ons. If your crew is ready for indoor fun, head to Bon Air Library and enjoy their large children's section. If you've worked up an appetite, drive to Joe's Inn Bon Air, a popular and family-friendly eatery that hosts "Kids Eat Free" (one per every paying adult) every Monday and Tuesday!
