Ed Austin Regional Park is a great location for playing, sports, walking and more in Jacksonville!

Spend hours outside enjoying all the wonderful activities that Ed Austin Regional Park has to offer! Whether you want to go on a peaceful walk, bring your kiddos to the playground or take your dog to make new friends, this park has it all!

The 144 acre park has a paved path that is great for walks, runs, or bike rides. It is only 1.75 miles total, so it is a quick and relaxing walk that is easily doable for all ages. It is also great for a quick stroller ride after the kiddos tire themselves out playing on the playground.

This park's playground is fantastic, with a giant jungle gym. The jungle gym is all connected with 2 separate sections designated for older and younger kids. It is so perfect for any age from toddlers to tweens. There are a bunch of slides of all different sizes and shapes, monkey bars and other climbing equipment and more amazing features your kids will love to discover. It is enclosed by a fence, in a giant area so there is plenty of space to run around. There are also both big kid and baby swings, that are fenced in and in eyesight of the jungle gym, but far enough that you won’t have to worry about any kicking accidents with your little kids running around. Enjoy running around or taking a seat at one of the benches or picnic tables. 

This playground can keep your crew entertained for quite a while, but they might enjoy exploring the rest of the park. It is well known for its 18 hole frisbee golf course, and you can even watch experienced players in tournaments some weekends. Speaking of sports on weekends, the many sports fields here can get pretty crowded on weekends as little league games are played. While they are not in use by the local rec leagues, there is a basketball court, soccer fields, and a lighted baseball field. Bring along sports equipment for your kids to enjoy the big green spaces! Or if you have any avid skaters, there is a great skate park!

This park is also great for the four legged members of your family, with a big dog park for them to run around and make puppy pals! It is well maintained and has separate fencing for both big and little dog sections!

The entire park is very well maintained and has great amenities, including a big parking lot and clean restrooms. It is also well shaded by the tree coverings all around.
