Outdoor fun! The Enon Elementary School has a bright playground with an obstacle course.

Enon Elementary has a wonderful playground, especially for a play date where there is a large age range. When you arrive, park in the bus loop, where it stops right in front of the playground. There are two basketball hoops here: one for older kids, and another one sized for smaller hoop stars! This smooth, flat space would also be great for new bike riders, scooters, or drawing with chalk, so pack materials to make the most of this area.

The playground is quite large. At the front there are flower musical instruments that have accompanying mallets, so your little musicians can make beautiful music! This part of the playground has several play structures, a sitting spinner, slides, climbing ladders, climbing wall, swinging hoops to climb through, and a twisty fire pole. There is also a see-saw that could fit about three young children on either side. The entire surface is mulch. There is a fence at the back of the playground, but not at the front.

On the adjacent playground, there is a large obstacle course. There are ropes, a spinner you can start and then jump on to, a "tightrope" to walk across, and a bilateral climbing apparatus. My children love racing one another, timing eachother, and eating their snacks on top of the ropes.  There are no picnic tables, but there are two small benches, if your children prefer to sit there for a snack break. Plan ahead, because there are no bathrooms here. In a pinch, you could head to a nearby gas station.

After playing here, head over to Enon Library. This charming library is about five minutes away. It has a vast children's section, a self-checkout station, and comfy seating for snuggling up with your little bibliophiles!
