Frienship Park and Playground is a perfect playground during a visit to Oviedo. 

The park is located right in central Oviedo, which lies just northeast of Orlando - right outside the University of Central Florida.  The area is much quieter and has a small town feel right outside a bigger and much busier area of town. Friendship Park is right near a school and shares a lot with a historic home, Lawton House, where you can easily utilize the parking lot during weekends or over summer days to access the playground.  

The park sits right beyond the house, and is visible from the street.  Walk beyond the house to the gated entrance, where as soon as you walk in you will find a bathroom.  Further down is a toddler area, designed for little ones under age 5.  The appeal here is the massive playground structure for the big kids - with a slide any will be thrilled to go down!  The park also has quiet benches scattered around, including under shady nooks and a picnic area to make a spot for lunch or a snack break! 

This little playground is a perfect stop when visiting Oviedo; it is very accessible from Luksas Buttefly Farm as well as Pappy's for strawberry picking!  Need a bite to eat?  You can enjoy this park with a picnic - there's a nearby Publix Supermarket in Riverside Landing (about two miles away), where you will also find a few fast food options. Or top it off with a visit to Jeremiah's Italian Ice - a local favorite and sweet treat on a hot summer day!
