With three large play structures, swings, benches, and a sand area, Fun Forest has the potential to entertain for hours!

Located on three acres in Chesapeake City Park, Fun Forest is a beautiful, wooded play area with tons of opportunities to let your little ones’ imaginations run wild. The parking lot is enormous, and the Ranger Station and restrooms are located at the entrance. On the way in, there is a Mini Free Library where you can borrow a book to read on one of the many picnic tables or benches or to bring home on the way out and replace it with a new one the next time you come! They have also added a story walk along the paved path where you can scan the QR code and listen to each book page.

The two larger playgrounds are recommended for children aged 5-12. They have slides, a climbing wall, monkey bars, and hanging rings. The shaky bridge was one of our favorite attractions! The smaller playground has a moving balancing pad, climbing structure, and a steering wheel. There are tons of swings for all ages, a raised platform for putting on performances, and giant ocean creature statues to play on and around! The Fun Forest even has a sand area with sand toys that people have generously left for everyone to share. Many of the attractions were created with all children in mind and accommodated wheelchairs.

If you’re looking for a meal before or after the fun, stop by The Egg Bistro in Greenbrier.
