Coronado offers so much with the ocean and the bay, walking and running paths, and three playgrounds.

Glorietta Bay Park is a quieter location with a simple, older playground and direct beach access. It is a great spot for younger kids because of the easy, calm waters of the bay and a nice sandy area to play. There is a walking path and a community center which boasts a wonderful childrens’ pool area. The Coronado Clubroom and Boathouse is also located at the park which is open seven days a week and offers kayaking and SUP lessons as well as hourly rentals. This could be a great option for the bigger kids to go out and explore the bay.

The walking path runs past the playground and you can explore the harbor with a beautiful variety of boats or cross the street to access the Coronado ocean front or even into town, if you're up for a longer route.  It is a great spot for an early walk, jog, or stroller run and dogs are allowed too. There are open grassy areas to run or kick a ball and picnic tables all around with a great view across the water to the San Diego skyline. We love Clayton's takeout window donuts in town, for a park snack or a burrito for a picnic.

There is plenty of space for parking, a lifeguard on duty, and a clean and pleasant atmosphere.  There are public restrooms and showers on-site, to-boot! Can’t get better than that!
