Enjoy the trails, playground, pool and even mini golf at Grand Caverns Park!

Grand Caverns Park offers something for everyone. We enjoyed playing at this park prior to touring the Grand Caverns underground! I really recommend playing here before the tour to get those wiggles out! Even if you are not planning to tour the Grand Caverns, the park is still worth exploring.

When you arrive, you will park in front of the small building that resembles a cottage; this is the Grottoes Welcome Center. There is a gift shop and some informative brochures inside, if your family wants to learn more about the area. From here, the playground is straight down the gravel trail. The playground is wooden and has a mulch base. My children called it the "castle playground", and made up plenty of creative games to play while here. Pack a picnic to enjoy at the park because there are several picnic shelters.

If you happen to visit the park between Memorial Day and Labor Day, take advantage of the pool. It is $4 for a resident to swim and $5 for non-resident. An additional unique feature of the park is the mini golf course. It is open year-round, 9AM - 5PM. Prices: residents: $2; non-residents: $3; $2/person for each additional round.

The trails are gorgeous and are quite popular for birdwatching. The trails are all-terrain stroller friendly. Throughout the trails there are several fitness exercise stations. Lastly, don't forget a fishing pole, as there are plenty of opportunities for fishing at the park, as well.
