Jim Warren Park & Playgrounds

A great park with playgrounds, a skate park, and walking paths.

Jim Warren Park is a large park in Franklin, TN. It’s a few minutes west of downtown Franklin and makes for a great visit. There are two playgrounds, large boulders for climbing, a skate park, baseball fields, football fields, walking trails, pavilions, tennis courts, and a pond. While we haven't explored the entire park, we loved spending time on one of the playgrounds, climbing the rocks, and scooting around the skatepark. This particular area is right near the entrance of the park off of 96 and Boyd Mill Ave., and there is a parking lot immediately to the right. Adjacent to the parking lot is the playground; it’s small but has slides, ladders, and monkey bars. There is a large field next to the playground and at the end of the field is the gated skatepark.  

The skatepark is great for beginners. There are lots of small ramps, as well as some steeper ones. There is also a large bowl for more advanced skaters. I hear the park gets busy on the weekends but is quiet mid-week. Our kids loved playing here and especially loved scootering around the skatepark.
