Jumbo Slice is a neighborhood staple and an old school grab and go pizza place in Adams Morgan.

As advertised, the slices are jumbo, and even knowing that, it's still a surprise when you get your hands on one for the first time. The mostly have traditional pizza flavors, cheese, supreme, pepperoni but these classic flavors never disappoint. The staff is always friendly and we enjoy ourselves there.

Jumbo slice doesn't open until 5pm because it's biggest fanbase is the late night post bar crowd and they are cash-only. During the warmer months, when dusk is later, grab take out and enjoy a picnic at Kalorama Park just at the other end of Belmont Road, only a three minute walk away. If you're looking for a dessert, Pleasant Pops is just a few blocks away and there locally-sourced popsicles always hit the spot.
