At Kings Landing Park in Huntingtown, there is something for everyone!

The park is very secluded and surrounded by treelines so that you truly feel removed from the outside world. When you arrive down the back road, it feels like a road within a tunnel of trees. There is a gate at the entrance which closes for entrance before the official closing time of 5 pm. Once inside, you will drive past a natural playground on the left-hand side and a lovely barn on the right. There is convenient parking and public restrooms are also available. Feel welcome to bring along your four-legged friends on the trails, as the park is dog friendly.

This is the perfect little escape for a summer afternoon, as this park doesn’t typically get too crowded and you’ll have plenty of space to relax in nature. The park features a bunch of fantastic trails of different lengths that are all very well marked, so make sure to check in before you start to see where you are headed. All of the trails are well maintained. Along the trail, there are tons of interesting signs with information about wildlife nearby and facts about the terrain to check out. There are plenty of pavilions and gazebos to stop in and relax to enjoy the scenic views.  After you finish your venture down the trail, you can cool off in the public swimming pool right around the corner that is perfect for people of all ages. There is a very minimal admission fee to use the pool, but it is great for the kids to swim and play after a hot day of hiking.
