LeRoy Oaks Forest Preserve is an exciting place with many new and fun activities.

The park can be found nestled behind off on Dean Street about a mile west of Randall Road. When you arrive, it may be quite tricky to find parking. However, you can normally find access near the barns where you may be able to park. Other than this, once you get to the park, they offer bike parking for those people who may live nearby and want to bike over. It can be noted that it does get crowded on warm weekdays.

There is an overall friendly and peaceful environment created by everyone in the park, especially the neighborhood families that often wander and go for a walk within the park from nearby. The park features a great walking/hiking and biking trail that is an exceptional way to get out and see all the incredible views around the park.  Also, if you want, you can go for a ride on a kayak into the water. If you would rather stay in place and relax, there is plenty of space to sit down in the grassy fields to have a picnic while the kids play games and different sporting activities in the field as well so be sure to bring some park toys. If you are looking to bring along a furry friend with your party, you can bring them on your walk with a leash on. However, beware of burrs that may stick to them that have fallen onto the ground. Also, make sure to bring bug spray as the wooded areas often can attract mosquitos here.
