The perfect park for your imaginative little kids along the Hudson is at Little Engine.

Calling all conductors! Young kids love playing pretend at Little Engine Playground, where they can travel anywhere in their imagination on the fun green train. The jungle gym area is manageable for little kids, and since the Big River playground is larger and right beside it, you won't have to worry about older kids. If you have two adults, you could even send your kids of different ages to each park, as they are right beside each other. There are three slides, one of which is a fun racing slide, and many subtle features for your kids to enjoy. One of the coolest features was a tiny swing under the jungle gym. Additionally, there are two baby swings in the same enclosed fence. 

The area of this park is beautiful and makes it easy to create a full day of activities. It is right next to the Hudson River and located just above a beautiful walking path suitable for strollers. There are many parks off of this path, so you can get your run or walk in and your family can enjoy exploring multiple parks. If you would prefer to just stop by, there is street parking and a parking garage not too far by. In the direction opposite of the park are many stores and restaurants just one or two blocks down, so no matter how you plan to spend your day, this location is prime to pair with fun activities.
