Loch Haven Park is located next to Pleasure House Point Natural Area, making it a convenient spot for a picnic after a fun family hike.

The park is also a great place to let the kids run off some of their energy before taking out the kayaks and hitting the water! You could also simply stop by after eating at one of the many amazing restaurants along Shore Drive or on your way back from fishing on the Lynnhaven River. This little park's location makes it easy to roll a few fun, family-friendly outdoor activities into one day!

The playground has three different slides, talk tubes, and rocking cars. There are two covered picnic tables with trash cans conveniently located nearby and benches to sit on. It has a big kid, baby swings, and a separate climbing structure with a twisty slide pole down the center! There are some great climbing trees along the park's edges, and the sandy surroundings lend themselves nicely for digging and creative play. It is tucked away in a neighborhood with very little traffic, so there is no need to worry about busy streets. Loch Haven is a relatively quiet park, which is sometimes a nice change from the more active, larger parks around Virginia Beach. The view of the river is incredibly peaceful!

Take note that the only restrooms are inside the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Brock Environmental Center, which is closed due to Covid. Parking is easy along Marlin Bay Drive or in the small parking lot in front of the Brock Center.
