The perfect playground for climbers awaits at Neufeld along the Hudson River.

Neufeld Playground was an unexpected find on our walk through Riverside Park along the Hudson. Although we weren’t looking for it, once we found it we knew we had to stop to recommend it to happyly users. There are awesome structures to scale for all of the climbers out there-complete with monkey bars, rock walls, ladders and a cool netted tower. The possibilities are endless in this park, leading to countless hours of fun. There are multiple slides, but a fan favorite is the big swirly slide. 

There is a great little kid section as well, with a smaller slide, more manageable climbing areas and steering wheels to make for an awesome game playing pretend. An even younger area is available that involves no climbing, with a fun little art structure, also perfect for playing pretend or just running around. Perfect for all young kids is the sandbox, which comes equipped with toys. There are swings for the entire family with big kids, baby, and accessibility swings all in an enclosed area within the gated park. 

Kids also love the super fun Elephant themed splash pad/water fountain area, which is perfect for cooling down on hot days. I recommend that parents take advantage of the walking paths nearby along the Hudson, as it is a perfect active activity with a gorgeous view of the river. It is not only stroller accessible, but also the perfect place to let your kid bike or scooter without worrying about busy streets like the rest of the city.
