North Pole Limited Train Ride

Hop on the North Pole Limited and embark on a train ride from Chattanooga to the North Pole!

The North Pole Limited train ride is a one-hour-long Christmas-themed ride the whole family will love. First, they print out actual North Pole tickets, and then the well-dressed conductors punch the tickets before you hop aboard the train. Once you’re on the train, the train assistants help your family find a seat and prepare the train car for passage to the North Pole. The train ticket fare includes hot chocolate beverages and cookies, handed out at the beginning of the ride. While the train is heading to the North Pole, a story is read over the loudspeaker, telling of the first train ride to help Santa deliver presents.

A highlight of the ride was passing through a tunnel, which sparkled in color! All the children on board were encouraged to help the train go even faster by making as much noise as possible. Once we arrived at the North Pole, you could see Santa and Mrs. Clause outside the train window waving and giving a message of cheer to the passengers.

On our journey back to the station, we were all given Christmas bells, sang carols, and wrote letters to Santa. This train experience was well-planned and thought out for children as they had snacks, activities, songs, and displays to make the 1-hour journey even more memorable.  They have a variety of time options throughout the day and night, and while our family loved going in the afternoon, we can’t wait to ride again at night to enjoy the Christmas lights. Tickets range in price from $30-40 for passengers over the age of one.

For the 2021 season, masks are required for passengers except when eating and drinking.
