The Oak Grove Park & Playground is a wonderful, quiet, neighborhood playground in Arlington, VA.

It is just steps from the Custis Trail, so you could plan to stop here and play or have a picnic while on a family bike ride.  This park is special for so many reasons! It has two major play structures, a covered picnic area with several tables and benches, a full size soccer field, and a paved loop. The table is located between the two play areas which allows for excellent visibility for caretakers to keep track of kiddos playing on both sides and the benches are placed all around the park. It’s a great place to consider hosting a birthday party or for renting out the rectangular field. Simply follow the link on the website for more information.

The highlight of this park is probably the super fun, spider web type climbing ropes surrounding the tube slide tower! With so many different things to climb up and swing on, it’s bound to the keep kids entertained for bit! There is also a smaller wooden play structure that provides a bit more age appropriate play things for the younger kids. It has some fun riding/bouncing toys, a slide, and its own climbing ladder. Right next to the wooden structure is an intricate carving intricate tree wooden carving of a woodland critter home!

Surrounding the park is a 1/5 mile loop which is great for running, walking, or scootering. We love the beautiful trees providing shade on warm days too.
