Three Separate Playgrounds: One Tot Lot, One for Ages 5-12, and a Ropes Obstacle Course!

Old Hundred Elementary is an amazing playground for kids of all ages! We love that it is fenced in so that you can bring toddlers or runners without worry. Additionally, there are THREE playgrounds. The first is best for ages 5-12. It has slides, a sit-on spinner, and several options for climbing, including a ladder.

The second playground is the obstacle course. Because of this space, my children have dubbed this playground the "ninja playground"!  The ropes course was a fun challenge for my eight-year-old. Some parts were exciting for my four-year-old, but climbing to the top of the shaky "rock climbing" was frustrating and a little scary for him. I would recommend this section for ages 4+, and stay nearby for support!

The third playground has a see-saw, sit-on spinner, a small tot lot with slide, and a playground similar to the first one. This section is safer for little ones. My children love the see-saw because two people can sit on either side comfortably. There is a small blacktop between the playgrounds, where there are basketball hoops. This area would also be a fun place to draw with chalk! All three playgrounds have a mulch surface.

Unfortunately, there is no bathroom available for use. In a pinch, you could try the adjacent church, Good Shepherd, and see if the office is open. It is a very short walk from the school. As with all school playgrounds, OHES is only open for play on weekends, school holidays, and non-school hours.

Note: there are no picnic tables, but there are two chairs.  My children preferred eating on the playground!
