The Orlando Reperatory Theater is great way to introduce little ones to the theater, located in the middle of Loch Haven Cultural Park.
As you enter Loch Haven Park, you'll notice other venues surrounding the culture-rich location - including other museums and theaters. Park in the main lot and you have direct access to the theater, which is next to a field of green, great for an after show picnic. The theater itself has two stages and have multiple productions happen at once. The intimate setting paired with the overall young age group in attendance, makes this a great place to give kids a first introduction to theater. The productions are also fairly short, and with kid-friendly snacks, accessible batherooms, and merchandise right in the lobby, it makes the whole experience delightful for little ones!
The theater is home to a variety of productions, both local shows and traveling with local talent. The Orlando Rep also offers a variety of activities from kids camps to Youth Academy classes to workshops for adults. These all happen throughout the year and can be used as a break camp option or as an after school/afternoon activity for a family looking to get into theater.
Before or after visiting, take a stroll through the Loch Haven Cultural Park and see the other venues that call it home. Even pair a visit to the museum with a visit to another venue for an extended day!
Need a bite to eat? Bring your own lunch or snacks and eat just outside the Theater in the green space surrounded by the other venues of Loch Haven Park. Drive south down and try Too Much Sauce for a quick cafe bite; or hang out at Twisted Handle to enjoy the green space and let the kids run around.
