The St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum takes you back in time to tales on the sea and is the perfect indoor activity in St. Augustine.

The museum is in the heart of the historic district, and a perfect addition to your trip to this city that steps back in time.  If you're making a day trip visit here, the best spot to start at is parking in the garage at the Visitor Center, which is just a short walk away.  That option allows you to leave the car for an extended period of time and in a central spot with easy access to restrooms if needed!

The museum is off the main road, Castillo Drive, facing the fort. The building is small from the exterior but looks can be deceiving, as it's packed with lots of history!  If you or your kids are into pirate history, this place offers an interactive experience to get to know it!  You will view staged props and actual historic findings, along with hearing stories about pirate adventures.

If you're opting to enhance your experience, tour with a group, the group tour offers you a guide that will walk you through the exhibits.  This way of touring is great to learn a little more or expand on what you're learning here, especially if you're doing this as a field trip or birthday party.

The museum visit is as short or as long as you'd like, but we think an hour from the entrance to leaving the gift shop with souvenirs is more than generous for what you will get.  It's definitely a nice add-on as you're visiting St. Augustine, and as it is indoors, a perfect place to escape the heat or rain while you're visiting.

Tickets can be pre-purchased online with a slight discount, or you can purchase at the door - with a resident & military discount offered! Annual passes are also offered if you plan to stick around and come back more than once!
