Surrey Downs has a new playground perfect for kids of all ages in Bellevue to zip, slide and climb!

Surrey Downs Playground is guaranteed to become your kiddos' next favorite playground! The beautiful park added this playground just a few years ago, and it is in wonderful condition with great options for kids of all ages! There is a great little kids section, that has mini slides and engaging climbing equipment. The bright colors and unique equipment will definitely grab their attention and keep them entertained. There are blocks and nets to climb and slides built into the turf hills. As you move your way back through the play section you will see swings for all ages and abilities. The swing section and both jungle gym sections are separated by a paved path, which makes it a lot easier to keep your kids in the safest sections for their ages. However, it is still super easy to see all kids playing in different sections with benches and picnic tables placed thoughtfully all around the playground. Then, in the very back is the coolest part of the playground - the big kid section. There is a fantastic jungle gym that all of your daredevil climbers will love. There are some simple pieces of climbing equipment to get to the slides, but the coolest are the web disc nets. This contraption is a perfect level of difficulty for kids 5-12 to keep them safe but still challenged. There is also an accessibility ramp in this jungle gym that leads to an amazing twisty slide and a few other fun features to explore. The highlight of every family member's trip (even the adults) is the giant zipline. It is such a fun piece of equipment that the entire family can enjoy together. 

Kids will be entertained here for hours, so be sure to pack along a yummy picnic lunch or head into Bellevue for a yummy treat. There are great dessert places just 5 minutes down the road that all of the kiddos will love, or more substantial restaurants to refresh after tiring themselves out running around. There are picnic pavilions with grills if you want a yummy meal without leaving the park. The park is 10.5 acres total and has a great paved loop all around. There is also a clean restroom facility. 

Our best piece of advice we can give you as you plan for your trip to the park is to use 11177 S.E. 4th Street, Bellevue WA, rather than just typing Surrey Downs Playground into your directions. If you do so, it brings you onto a main road instead of the side street that the park is off of, so it is just a bit tricky to reroute. The given address will lead right to the fairly big parking lot right beside the playground and walking path entrance.
