Visit Lexington's Sweet Things Ice Cream Shoppe for hand made waffle cones!

When our family traveled to Lexington, we stumbled upon Sweet Things Ice Cream Shoppe and fell in love! In fact, we enjoyed it so much, we visited two more times during our visit! Sweet Things Ice Cream Shoppe is located within the downtown area of Lexington, near Washington & Lee. We love the quaint feeling of this downtown area! I recommend visiting Sweet Things Ice Cream after visiting the Safari Drive Thru or Natural Bridge State Park. It is about 15 minutes from both.

When you arrive, you will need to park on the street. The downtown area was never too crowded, and we always were able to find a spot close by with ease. Before you head to Sweet Things, make sure you have cash, as they do not accept cards. If you arrive without cash, there is a Wells Fargo just a couple blocks away, so no worries! Sweet Things is famous around Lexington, as it's known for its hand-rolled waffle cones. You can actually watch the staff make the waffle cones, which is really neat! My kids loved that part of our experience.

The shop offers both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside, but there is ample seating for both options. My kids loved every flavor they tried, but especially bubble gum and strawberry. In addition to the cones being hand-rolled, the ice cream is homemade! If you want to take the ice cream to go, downtown Lexington has tons of adorable and unique shops. Be sure to visit Just Games Lexington, a couple blocks away, where you could find just about any game imaginable!
