Safe fun for all ages at the Swift Creek YMCA Playground, a fenced playground with a ball pit and adjacent fields.

The Swift Creek YMCA playground is ideal for families who have children with a large age range. This is also a great playground for having a playdate and bringing friends of many ages. The playground is entirely fenced, and there is a gate, so all children are safely enclosed in this area. The playground has a mulch base. There are shade canopies over the play equipment, but this playset is in full sun, so pack sunscreen and water bottles. For older children, there are rope ladders, monkey bars, stairs, and round steps for hopping to and from! The slide size will not intimidate younger children as it is not too high. Younger children will also enjoy the twisty ladder that has bars close enough together even my 3 year old could do it! The ball pit is not too large, so even children still working on those throwing skills will enjoy playing in this space.

Inside the fence are two benches and a picnic table. We usually pack our snacks and enjoy lunch out here during our playtime. Outside the fence are several athletic fields and a picnic pavilion. If it is very sunny and hot, we take our picnic to the covered pavilion. Pack a soccer ball or kite to take advantage of this large open space. The playground is open to members of the YMCA. By joining a YMCA in Metro Richmond, you may use the amenities of any YMCA. For example, even if you join the Midlothian YMCA, you may play at the Swift Creek YMCA playground.

Parking at this location is easy: a large parking lot in front of the building. Restrooms are inside the YMCA building.
