Waterfront Dining with a Delicious Menu for Children and Adults

Heralded as Richmond's only waterfront bar and restaurant, The Lily Pad is an ideal place for a delicious meal with family or friends. The gorgeous views and reasonable prices make this a first choice restaurant for us, whether for a date night or our whole family! We always request to sit on the patio, so our children can view the boats coming and going. It is such a peaceful and serene backdrop! For menu options, my kids give the cherry limeades five stars. They love to feel grownup drinking out of a cup with no lid, but if you ask your server, they are more than happy to accommodate and bring your kiddo a top for the drink.

The service is quick and pleasant! They always make my son's pizza sans sauce, just the way he likes it. For adults, there is beer, wine, and fun cocktails, and even slushie cocktails! I typically order a burger or even a salad, as the portions are so large that it makes an entire meal. Often, we start with broccolini as an appetizer, which my children devour! Any place that gets them to eat veggies is a winner in my book!

After dinner, we always walk around the water and explore the dock. There is not much of a barrier, so be sure little ones are listening, and you are vigilant.  The restaurant opens at 4:00, so we like to play at nearby Osborne Park before our meal.  Osborne Park is adjacent to The Lily Pad and has a fun pirate-themed playground. You can park in front of either The Lily Pad or Osborne Park and walk from one to another!
