Want an entertaining ride and a beautiful waterside view? Look no further than Pier 62 Carousel!

As of right now, unfortunately, the carousel is closed due to Covid-19. But when it opens once again, the Pier 62 Carousel is the perfect place to be! Children of all ages (and adults) love this charming attraction. The bright colors and fun animals are sure to have kids racing each other to pick where they get to sit. There are 33 hand-crafted and uniquely animals on the carousel… a fun activity could be to challenge your kids and see how many of them they can name! 

The carousel is right on the water and has a magnificent view of the river and cityscape. Flowers and trees bloom and blossom in spring, adding to the beauty of this area. With picnic tables spaced both under the shade of the awning next to the ride and out from under it in the sunshine, this is a great place to bring a bite to eat and enjoy the outdoor views.  

The pavement makes this an easy place to bring kids with scooters or in strollers and walk along the river. In some of the more crowded areas of the piers, kids may be asked to periodically dismount and walk their scooter, but for the most part, it seems like it is a great place to move around. Located right by the Pier 62 Carousel is the Pier 62 Skatepark, which is another great reason to bring a scooter or skateboard along with you!
