Family time: Enjoy playing board games while eating yummy snacks at Unplugged Games Cafe!

Unplugged Games Cafe is the perfect place for facilitating quality family time!  It is a totally relaxing venue, where the staff will help you select games based on your interests and games you have enjoyed previously.  Additionally, the extensive game library gives you the chance to try a new game without paying full price for it.  As you choose a game to play, they are organized by color.  Green is for all levels, yellow is a bit harder, and red means you will be playing that one for a while!  Also labeled on the side of the games is how many players the game requires and how long it will take to play.

My daughter (age 8) and I had a wonderful time playing three different games at Unplugged Games Cafe.  During our visit, we also ordered one of the HUGE cookies.  They are as delicious as they look, and come with a dollop of whipped cream (yum!).  There is a full menu, also, and a bar, too!  The kid's menu items are all $6 and under.  While we played games, different employees checked on us, and answered all questions we had.  Every employee is a game expert, and provided great tips and suggestions.

All children ages 12 and under are free to play, and it is $8 for all others.  The $8 covers your entire stay - you could stay all day if you wanted to play that many games!  If you want to play for free, write about Unplugged Games Cafe on social media and tag them, and use the hastag - #unpluggedrva - for a free month!  There are an array of toddler games, nostalgic games like Battleship and Candy Land, and a slew of new games, and games for the advanced gamer.

When you finish playing your game, you simply return it to the cart, where staff organize and return it to the game library.  After playing our games, we headed over to Sycamore Community Park, which is less than five minutes away.
