There are many ways to enjoy the outdoors at Woodlake Athletic Complex, a 79-acre area that includes four play structures, soccer fields, and a paved trail for bikes or scooters.

Woodlake Athletic Complex, located directly behind Clover Hill Elementary School, offers an array of activity options for children of all ages!  At the lower play area, you can find two playgrounds; one has a merry-go-round. Both playgrounds, similar to tot lots, are designed for younger children. They are adjacent to a small blacktop surface with basketball hoops. The upper playgrounds are for older children; kids four years and older would enjoy them the most.  There are slides and monkey bars, and each has a mulch surface.

Behind the playgrounds are several soccer fields. A paved trail wraps all the way around the fields. The trail even goes through the Woodlake neighborhood, if you want to go longer distances!  My son loves using his scooter, or his bike, on the paved trail.  We have never seen anyone using the trail, and it is quite smooth. It is ideal for a novice cyclist.

The Woodlake Athletic Complex is directly behind Clover Hill Elementary.  As with all school playgrounds, visits from non-students are only permitted during non-school hours, and/or on the weekends. Occasionally, the fields are used for soccer games, but even then, not every field is utilized. It's always a good idea to pack a ball, or even a kite, to take advantage of the space!

Parking is quite conveniently located in two spots: by the lower playgrounds, and by the upper playgrounds.  Bathrooms are by the latter parking lot. Additionally, there is a picnic table in a shady spot by the soccer field, closest to the upper playground.

When you are all finished and packed up, consider stopping for something yummy at nearby Treat Shop.  It's heaven for those with a sweet tooth, offering ice cream, donuts, funnel cakes, smoothies, and more!
